Adventure Hunt is a new outdoor escape room experience in Lagos. It is similar to escape rooms and scavenger hunts. Each puzzle uses items in plain sight. They might be murals, statues, buildings or landmarks. The questions are designed to make you think and pay attention, making for a fun group activity.
The Adventure Hunt App helps you navigate between puzzles without simply asking you to follow a dot on a map. Hints can be used if you need assistance solving any of the puzzles. The App is available on both Android and iPhone.
The Lagos Adventure Hunt is set in the Old town area of Lagos, Portugal. The old town makes a great location for an Adventure Hunt, with interesting places to see, things to find, and places to explore. Challenge yourself and have a great time with friends and family.
There are 3 options available. The standard and family Adventure Hunts consist of 20 clues spread over 2.1km. The advanced option adds a further 6 clues, making a total of 26 over the same 2.1km route. The standard route has fewer cryptic clues than the advanced route.
To ensure that everyone is actively participating, a group size of 2-4 individuals is advised. If your group is larger, consider dividing into two different groups.
Adventure Hunt Lagos includes a T-Shirt. If you would like more than 1 T-shirt then select the total desired number at checkout.

The Lagos Adventure Hunt is set in the Old town area of Lagos. Choose between the standard, family and advanced routes.

- You can do your Adventure Hunt at any time as the Adventure Hunt App guides you from clue to clue.
- Your booking confirmation email includes all of the information needed to start your Adventure Hunt!
- We suggest you install and login to the app before you leave home. You can read through the first few screens and make sure everything is working for you. The app will direct you to the start of your adventure Hunt.

Is Adventure Hunt Lagos an escape room?
Adventure Hunt Lagos is not an escape room but it is a fun experience with similar challenges and is enjoyable for people who enjoy escape rooms. Everything takes place outside, at your own pace – there is no race against the clock. In fact, we encourage people to take a break for a drink or something to eat and enjoy the lovely surrounding that the Adventure Hunt is set in.
The real similarity is that the puzzles require a degree of teamwork and lateral thinking.
Is Adventure Hunt a walking tour of Lagos?
The Adventure Hunt in Lagos takes you on some interesting streets in the old town and near the city walls. It shows you some places that you were possibly not aware of. However, it is not a replacement for a historical or guided walk as the focus is on having fun rather than learning.
Is This New Lagos escape room experience suitable for families?
Yes, Adventure Hunt is great for families. Choose the Family option when you make your booking if you have children under the age of 8-12.
are the clues complicated?
This is a really difficult question! What we can say is that out of the 10 initial test groups no single clue was found to be difficult by all groups. Every group did find a couple to be quite challenging, but it was almost always different clues from the other groups.
So we can assure you that you are not faced with any impossible puzzles. If you have enjoyed an escape room or other outdoor puzzle game, then choose the advanced route which has 6 more clues and slightly more cryptic wording. If you are a family group then you should choose the family option. If unsure, choose the standard route.
How do I win?
Having fun is winning so there is no need to be too focused on the score. That said, Adventure Hunt has a scoring system, with each clue offering a maximum of 20 points. Collect as many points as you do your Adventure Hunt and compete with friends and other groups.
Can we compete against another group?
Live scores are available within the Adventure Hunt App. You will be able to see the scores of everyone doing the same hunt as you on the Clue Completed page. We encourage a 10-minute break between groups.
Please contact us if you have multiple groups. We can put up a specific configuration so that all of your groups can start on separate clues at the same time.

About Lagos
Lagos is famous for its stunning beaches with beautiful rocky formations and steep cliffs. The superb beauty of this charming city has no equal in the Algarve.
Lacóbriga, the city’s original name, was founded in 2000 b.c. by a tribe called cónios which were the first inhabitants of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo (lower area of Alentejo). The city would later be disputed by Carthaginians, Romans, Moors and Barbarians, being only conquered by the Christians in the 13th century. Due to its geographical location and economic importance Lagos became a pillar of the Portuguese Discoveries in the 15th century and in 1577 it was awarded the statute of city and was named the capital of the Algarve by King Dom Sebastião.
With its beautiful churches and a fortress, a busy marina, an interesting zoo and gorgeous nature, Lagos is the perfect destination for the whole family, having something to offer to groups of all types and ages.
