The El Medano Adventure Hunt has two options; the standard route with 23 clues over 1.5km and the shorter family route with 18 clues over just 1km.

This hunt is available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French and Dutch.

  • You do not need to select a date or time.
  • Our app opens using the same language as your phone if it is available. You can change to one of the other supported languages when you login if preferred.
  • You can do your Adventure Hunt at any time as the Adventure Hunt App guides you from clue to clue, though some clues will be tricky without daylight.
  • Your booking confirmation email includes all of the information needed to start your Adventure Hunt!
  • We suggest you install the app and login to it before you leave home. You can then read through the first few screens and make sure everything is working for you.
  • The app will direct you to the start of your Adventure Hunt.

The El Medano Adventure Hunt offers two routes; a standard route with 20+ clues spread over 1.5km around the highlights of El Medano, and a shorter family route has 18 clues. The family route excludes a walk down to the harbour wall and up to the post office square. Ideal for keeping those with shorter legs from getting too tired!

Both routes start on the boardwalk, overlooking the largest natural beach in Tenerife, officially known as Leocadio Machado. The standard route also takes in the main tourist areas of El Medano, with the main plaza, Plaza Roja and a walk down to the harbour wall all included. You will pass by many of El Medano´s most popular bars and restaurants on the route. As there is no time limit, feel free to take a break at any time for a drink, an ice cream or something to eat. Challenge yourself and have a great time with friends and family.

On market and event days the squares may be busy, but you will still be able to solve the clues we have in these locations - just allow more time to move through the crowds that can gather. If the squares are closed though, maybe its best left for another day or when it is less busy.

Birthdays and Group Events

The El Medano Adventure Hunts have hosted a number of childrens birthday groups, with children splitting into teams or 4-5. The compact nature of the route makes it easy to start and finish together, with plenty of places to continue birthday celebrations. This is suitable for children 8+.
