Adventure Hunt currently has outdoor escape room experiences in six locations around Tenerife: Santa Cruz, La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, El Medano, Costa Adeje and Los Abrigos. They are all different. You can explore historic city centres, street art, fishing villages, beaches and waterfront promenades, depending on which Adventure Hunt you choose.
All Adventure Hunts are designed by someone who lives locally. This is a really important part of what Adventure Hunt offers. We use interesting features, highlights and hidden gems that we have found locally, including plenty of things you could easily walk straight past without ever noticing.
Adventure Hunt has elements of outdoor escape rooms, scavenger hunts and treasure trails. We use buildings, statues, signs, murals, information plaques and just about anything else we find to create interesting and fun puzzles. You don’t need any special knowledge, just look around, pay attention and work out the answers.
O Aplicativo de Caça à Aventura guides you from one puzzle to the next without simply asking you to follow a dot on a map. Finding your way is part of the adventure. Hints are available for every puzzle if you get stuck. The App runs on your own Android ou iPhone, so there is no equipment to collect and no guide to meet before you start.
Book online and start whenever you like. There are no fixed departure times, so plan in advance or decide on the day itself. Each booking covers a group of up to six people and Adventure Hunt is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. We recommend groups of 2-4 people so that everyone stays involved.
Santa Cruz
The Santa Cruz Adventure Hunt starts close to the cruise terminal and takes you through the centre of Tenerife’s capital. The route includes plazas, pedestrian streets, the market, parks and the waterfront, with around 20 clues spread over approximately 2.5 km.
If you want to explore a city and see a good mix of different areas, Santa Cruz is a great choice. It is also really convenient if you are arriving on a cruise, as you can walk to the start from the port.

La Laguna
La Laguna is completely different. The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is full of colourful buildings, traditional Canarian architecture, plazas and pedestrian streets.
If you like history and old buildings, choose La Laguna. Even if you already know the town, the puzzles will have you looking at things you probably haven’t noticed before.

Puerto de la Cruz
Puerto de la Cruz is a little different because there are two completely separate Adventure Hunts here.
The standard route explores the harbour, old town, plazas, churches and waterfront. The Street Art Adventure Hunt stays in the old town and is 100% about the murals and street art.
If you like street art, try that one. If you want to see more of Puerto de la Cruz, choose the standard route. If you can’t decide, then do both!

El Medano
The El Medano Adventure Hunt starts on the boardwalk overlooking Playa Leocadio Machado and explores the plazas, streets and waterfront around the town.
There is a standard route and a slightly shorter Family option, which simply cuts out part of the walk. El Medano is quite a compact Adventure Hunt and there are lots of places along the way to stop for a drink, an ice cream or something to eat. There is no time limit, so why rush?

Costa Adeje
The Costa Adeje Adventure Hunt follows the waterfront and boardwalks from Playa El Bobo to Playa Fanabe. If you are staying around Costa Adeje or Las Americas, this will probably be the closest Adventure Hunt to you.
You can choose the Standard or Family version. They follow the same general route, but the Family version has slightly less cryptic clues and more helpful hints. It is designed for children aged 8-12 when accompanied by adults.

Los Abrigos
Los Abrigos is our shortest Tenerife Adventure Hunt, with 18 clues spread over approximately 1 km around the main plaza and harbour.
This isn’t a big tourist resort. Los Abrigos is a small fishing village with great sea views and lots of restaurants around the harbour. If you want something that doesn’t involve too much walking, or fancy combining an Adventure Hunt with lunch or dinner by the sea, this is a good one to choose.

Which Tenerife Adventure Hunt should you choose?
It really depends on what you fancy doing.
For a city, try Santa Cruz. If you like history and traditional architecture, choose La Laguna. Puerto de la Cruz has the most choice and is the obvious one if street art interests you.
In the south, Costa Adeje is convenient if you are staying in the main tourist areas. El Medano has a relaxed beach-town feel, while Los Abrigos is shorter and takes you around a small fishing village.
Or just choose whichever one is closest to you. You don’t have to travel across the island to find the “best” Adventure Hunt. They have all been designed around their own locations and the puzzles are completely different.
And of course, you can always do more than one.

Podemos fazer isto em vez de uma visita a pé?
Não se trata de um substituto para um passeio histórico ou guiado, uma vez que o foco está em divertir-se em vez de aprender. Não incluímos informação histórica na aplicação, embora seja sempre livre de tomar o seu tempo e ler os sinais e placas com que se depara.
Uma «Adventure Hunt» é adequada para famílias, tal como o «Treasure Trails»?
Sim, é óptimo para as famílias. Tentamos sempre tornar uma das opções adequadas para as famílias. Mas nem todas as pistas serão simples, pelo que todo o grupo terá de trabalhar em conjunto para resolver todos os puzzles.

Quão difíceis são as pistas?
Esta é uma questão realmente difícil! Todos vêem as coisas de forma diferente, por isso não há uma resposta fácil para quão difíceis são as pistas. Os nossos testes minuciosos asseguram que nunca será confrontado com puzzles impossíveis. Se tiver feito uma sala de fuga ou outros jogos de puzzles ao ar livre, então escolha as opções mais longas ou avançadas. Se for um grupo familiar, então deverá escolher a opção familiar. Caso contrário, escolha a opção padrão.
Podemos fazer uma Caça ao Tesouro de casa?
É preciso estar realmente no local correcto para poder resolver cada pista. Utilizamos características locais permanentes para fazer as nossas pistas, por isso sem estar fisicamente no local de uma pista, não se pode resolvê-la.
Existe um sistema de pontuação?
Cada pista oferece um máximo de 20 pontos, com deduções para cada resposta incorrecta. A utilização de uma dica tem apenas uma pequena dedução, por isso não evite usá-la ao ponto de se sentir frustrado e desistir. Acima de tudo, divirta-se e aproveite todas as pistas, especialmente o elemento de trabalhar em conjunto como um grupo.
Podemos desafiar outro grupo?
Sim, é uma das formas mais divertidas de participar. As pontuações em direto estão disponíveis na aplicação Adventure Hunt. Poderás ver as pontuações de todos os que estão a fazer a mesma caçada que tu na página Pista concluída. Se tiver vários grupos, entre em contacto connosco e forneceremos logins para que todos os seus grupos possam começar ao mesmo tempo, em puzzles diferentes.

Depois, podes abrir a aplicação usando o teu endereço de e-mail e o número de referência da reserva — não precisas de criar nem de te lembrar de nenhuma palavra-passe.
Quando estiveres pronto, basta ires até ao ponto de partida e começares a tua Caça ao Tesouro. A aplicação vai guiar-te de quebra-cabeças em quebra-cabeças, desbloqueando cada novo desafio à medida que fores resolvendo o anterior. Se precisares de uma ajudinha pelo caminho, há dicas disponíveis para cada quebra-cabeças. Podes parar quando quiseres para tomar um refresco, fazer turismo ou ir às compras, e depois continuar a tua Caça à Aventura quando estiveres pronto — até no dia seguinte, se quiseres.
