Adventure Hunt is een nieuwe manier om van een wandeling te genieten en wat plezier te hebben in de zon. Slechts 19,50 € per groep!
Adventure Hunt currently has outdoor escape room experiences in six locations around Tenerife: Santa Cruz, La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, El Medano, Costa Adeje and Los Abrigos. They are all different. You can explore historic city centres, street art, fishing villages, beaches and waterfront promenades, depending on which Adventure Hunt you choose.
All Adventure Hunts are designed by someone who lives locally. This is a really important part of what Adventure Hunt offers. We use interesting features, highlights and hidden gems that we have found locally, including plenty of things you could easily walk straight past without ever noticing.
Adventure Hunt has elements of outdoor escape rooms, scavenger hunts and treasure trails. We use buildings, statues, signs, murals, information plaques and just about anything else we find to create interesting and fun puzzles. You don’t need any special knowledge, just look around, pay attention and work out the answers.
De Avonturenjacht app guides you from one puzzle to the next without simply asking you to follow a dot on a map. Finding your way is part of the adventure. Hints are available for every puzzle if you get stuck. The App runs on your own Android of iPhone, so there is no equipment to collect and no guide to meet before you start.
Book online and start whenever you like. There are no fixed departure times, so plan in advance or decide on the day itself. Each booking covers a group of up to six people and Adventure Hunt is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. We recommend groups of 2-4 people so that everyone stays involved.
Santa Cruz
The Santa Cruz Adventure Hunt starts close to the cruise terminal and takes you through the centre of Tenerife’s capital. The route includes plazas, pedestrian streets, the market, parks and the waterfront, with around 20 clues spread over approximately 2.5 km.
If you want to explore a city and see a good mix of different areas, Santa Cruz is a great choice. It is also really convenient if you are arriving on a cruise, as you can walk to the start from the port.

La Laguna
La Laguna is completely different. The historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is full of colourful buildings, traditional Canarian architecture, plazas and pedestrian streets.
If you like history and old buildings, choose La Laguna. Even if you already know the town, the puzzles will have you looking at things you probably haven’t noticed before.

Puerto de la Cruz
Puerto de la Cruz is a little different because there are two completely separate Adventure Hunts here.
The standard route explores the harbour, old town, plazas, churches and waterfront. The Street Art Adventure Hunt stays in the old town and is 100% about the murals and street art.
If you like street art, try that one. If you want to see more of Puerto de la Cruz, choose the standard route. If you can’t decide, then do both!

El Medano
The El Medano Adventure Hunt starts on the boardwalk overlooking Playa Leocadio Machado and explores the plazas, streets and waterfront around the town.
There is a standard route and a slightly shorter Family option, which simply cuts out part of the walk. El Medano is quite a compact Adventure Hunt and there are lots of places along the way to stop for a drink, an ice cream or something to eat. There is no time limit, so why rush?

Costa Adeje
The Costa Adeje Adventure Hunt follows the waterfront and boardwalks from Playa El Bobo to Playa Fanabe. If you are staying around Costa Adeje or Las Americas, this will probably be the closest Adventure Hunt to you.
You can choose the Standard or Family version. They follow the same general route, but the Family version has slightly less cryptic clues and more helpful hints. It is designed for children aged 8-12 when accompanied by adults.

Los Abrigos
Los Abrigos is our shortest Tenerife Adventure Hunt, with 18 clues spread over approximately 1 km around the main plaza and harbour.
This isn’t a big tourist resort. Los Abrigos is a small fishing village with great sea views and lots of restaurants around the harbour. If you want something that doesn’t involve too much walking, or fancy combining an Adventure Hunt with lunch or dinner by the sea, this is a good one to choose.

Which Tenerife Adventure Hunt should you choose?
It really depends on what you fancy doing.
For a city, try Santa Cruz. If you like history and traditional architecture, choose La Laguna. Puerto de la Cruz has the most choice and is the obvious one if street art interests you.
In the south, Costa Adeje is convenient if you are staying in the main tourist areas. El Medano has a relaxed beach-town feel, while Los Abrigos is shorter and takes you around a small fishing village.
Or just choose whichever one is closest to you. You don’t have to travel across the island to find the “best” Adventure Hunt. They have all been designed around their own locations and the puzzles are completely different.
And of course, you can always do more than one.

Is dit een escape room?
De puzzels zijn vergelijkbaar met sommige die je in een escape room tegenkomt. Het grote verschil is dat Adventure Hunt zich buiten afspeelt en dat alle puzzels gebruik maken van kenmerken, borden en voorwerpen die in het zicht liggen. Met Adventure Hunt ben je buiten en geniet je van de zon en het uitzicht, je kunt pauzeren wanneer je maar wilt - er is geen tijdslimiet.
Adventure Hunt heeft geen "eindpuzzel" die je moet oplossen. Elke puzzel maakt deel uit van het plezier - geniet van ze allemaal!
Kunnen we dit doen in plaats van een wandeltocht?
Dit is geen vervanging voor een historische wandeling of een wandeling met een gids, omdat de nadruk ligt op plezier hebben in plaats van leren. We geven geen historische informatie in de app, maar je bent altijd vrij om de tijd te nemen en de borden en plaquettes te lezen die je tegenkomt.
Is een Adventure Hunt geschikt voor gezinnen zoals Treasure Trails?
Ja, het is geweldig voor gezinnen. We proberen altijd een van de opties geschikt te maken voor gezinnen. Niet elke aanwijzing zal echter eenvoudig zijn, dus de hele groep zal moeten samenwerken om alle puzzels op te lossen.
Treasure Trails is een geweldig avontuur voor gezinnen in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Onze Adventure Hunts zijn allemaal gebaseerd op apps, maar net als bij Treasure Trails ligt de nadruk op plezier hebben en volledig vertrouwen op je omgeving voor de aanwijzingen en puzzels. Als je van het ene geniet, zul je ook van het andere genieten. Bovendien krijg je bij elke Adventure Hunt een T-shirt!
Hoe moeilijk zijn de aanwijzingen?
Dit is echt een moeilijke vraag! Iedereen ziet dingen anders, dus er is geen eenvoudig antwoord op hoe moeilijk de aanwijzingen zijn. Onze grondige tests zorgen ervoor dat je nooit voor onmogelijke puzzels komt te staan. Als je al eens een escape room of andere outdoor puzzelspellen hebt gedaan, kies dan voor de langere of gevorderde opties. Als je een familiegroep bent, kies dan de familieoptie. Kies anders voor de standaard optie.
Kunnen we thuis een Adventure Hunt doen?
Je moet echt op de juiste locatie zijn om elke aanwijzing te kunnen oplossen. We gebruiken lokale permanente kenmerken om onze aanwijzingen te maken, dus als je niet fysiek op de locatie van een aanwijzing bent, kun je deze niet oplossen.
Is er een puntensysteem?
Elke aanwijzing biedt maximaal 20 punten, met aftrek voor elk fout antwoord. Het gebruik van een hint heeft slechts een kleine aftrek, dus vermijd het gebruik ervan niet tot het punt waarop je gefrustreerd raakt en opgeeft. Heb vooral veel plezier en geniet van alle aanwijzingen, vooral van het element van samenwerken als groep.
Kunnen we een andere groep uitdagen?
Ja, het is een van de leuke manieren om mee te doen. Live scores zijn beschikbaar in de Adventure Hunt App. Je kunt de scores zien van iedereen die dezelfde speurtocht doet als jij op de pagina Clue Voltooid. Als je meerdere groepen hebt, neem dan contact met ons op en wij zorgen voor logins zodat al je groepen op hetzelfde moment kunnen beginnen, op verschillende puzzels.
Wanneer komt er een Adventure Hunt Escape Room bij mij in de buurt?

De Tenerife Adventure Hunts is verkrijgbaar in het Engels, Spaans, Duits, Nederlands, Frans, Italiaans en Portugees.
Hoe het werkt
Klik op de knop ‘Nu boeken’ om te reserveren. Je krijgt dan een bevestigingsmail met je boekingsnummer, een link om de Adventure Hunt-app te downloaden en een link naar het startpunt. Je kunt de app vervolgens openen met je e-mailadres en boekingsnummer – je hoeft geen wachtwoord aan te maken of te onthouden.
Zodra je er klaar voor bent, ga je gewoon naar het startpunt en begin je aan je Adventure Hunt. De app leidt je van puzzel naar puzzel en ontgrendelt elke nieuwe uitdaging zodra je de vorige hebt opgelost. Als je onderweg wat hulp nodig hebt, zijn er voor elke puzzel hints beschikbaar. Je kunt stoppen wanneer je maar wilt om iets te drinken, bezienswaardigheden te bekijken of te winkelen, en je Adventure Hunt weer oppakken zodra je er klaar voor bent – zelfs de volgende dag als je dat wilt.
