Adventure Hunts in Alicante
Adventure Hunt is a self-guided outdoor escape room experience and a completely different way to explore Alicante and the surrounding area. It is a cross between a walking tour, an escape room and a scavenger hunt. The puzzles use things that are already around you – buildings, statues, murals, signs, landmarks and other details that you might normally walk straight past.
The Adventure Hunt App guides you from one puzzle to the next without simply asking you to follow a dot on a map. Hints are available if you get stuck, and the App runs on your own Android or iPhone. There is no equipment to collect and no guide to meet before you start.
Book online and start whenever you like. There are no fixed departure times and you can explore completely at your own pace. Stop for a drink, something to eat or to enjoy the surroundings, then continue whenever you’re ready.
Adventure Hunt is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. Each booking covers a group of up to six people, although we recommend groups of 2-4 so that everyone stays involved.
There are currently nine Adventure Hunts to choose from across Alicante and the surrounding area. Some explore historic streets and town centres, while others take you through parks, along the coast or into quieter areas that many visitors never see.
Alicante City
Explore Alicante while solving puzzles based on the buildings, landmarks, statues and smaller details you find along the way. This is a good choice if you want to see some of the city while adding a challenge to your walk.
Alicante Old Town
Head into the historic heart of Alicante and explore its streets, squares and landmarks. The Old Town gives us plenty of interesting details to turn into puzzles and is a great way to take a closer look at one of the most interesting parts of the city.
Alicante – Parque Palmeral
For something greener, Parque Palmeral offers a very different setting. This circular Adventure Hunt takes you through one of Alicante’s most attractive parks, making it a particularly good choice for families, children and nature lovers.
Alicante – Via Verde
The Via Verde Adventure Hunt takes you along the coast, combining puzzles with sea views and a more open walking route. It is a good choice for walkers and anyone who would rather get away from the busier streets of the city.
Playa de San Juan
Starting near the beach, this Adventure Hunt heads inland through tree-lined pedestrian areas and two very different parks before returning towards the coast. It combines the busy atmosphere of Playa de San Juan with some surprisingly peaceful green spaces.
Campello
Campello gives you a real mixture of environments. The route explores parks, plazas and quieter streets before returning to the coast, where you’ll find historical sites and some fantastic sea views. Along the way there is a mixture of art, history and plenty of smaller details to discover.
Villajoyosa
Explore the narrow streets of Villajoyosa’s Old Town, with its art, colourful buildings, plazas and coastal views. The route starts and finishes near the beach but spends much of its time exploring the maze of streets and green spaces behind it.
Santa Pola Center
The Santa Pola Adventure Hunt explores the old town and harbour area, taking in the fortress, lively squares, parks and waterfront. There are plenty of well-known sights along the way, but also smaller details that are very easy to miss if you’re simply walking through town.
Torrevieja
Discover Torrevieja in a different way by exploring the town and solving puzzles as you go. Look more closely at your surroundings, find details you might otherwise miss and add a challenge to your walk around this popular part of the Costa Blanca.
Which Alicante Adventure Hunt should you choose?
There isn’t really a right answer. If you enjoy historic streets and city exploring, Alicante City, Alicante Old Town, Villajoyosa or Santa Pola could be a good place to start. For parks and greener surroundings, try Parque Palmeral or Playa de San Juan. If you prefer the coast and a longer walk, take a look at Via Verde, Campello or Torrevieja.
Or simply choose the one nearest to you. They are nine separate Adventure Hunts with different routes and puzzles, so you can always come back and try another one.

FAQ
Is This an escape room?
The puzzles are similar to some you will encounter in an escape room. The big difference is that Adventure Hunt is outside and all of the puzzles use features, signs, and objects that are in plain view. With Adventure Hunt you are outside enjoying the sun and views, you can take a break as and when you like – there is no time limit.
Adventure Hunt does not have an “End Puzzle” that you are working towards solving. Every puzzle is part of the fun – enjoy them all!
Can we do this instead of a walking tour?
This is not a replacement for a historical or guided walk as the focus is on having fun rather than learning. We do not include historical information in the app, though you are always free to take your time and read the signs and plaques the you come across.
Is AN Adventure Hunt suitable for families like Treasure Trails?
Yes, it is great for families. We always try to make one of the options suitable for families. Not every clue will be simple though, so the whole group will need to work together to solve all of the puzzles.
Treasure Trails are an amazing adventure for families in the UK. Our Adventure Hunts are all App based but, like Treasure Trails, focus on having fun and completely rely on your surroundings for the clues and puzzles. If you enjoy one, you will enjoy the other. Plus every Adventure Hunt includes a T-Shirt!
How hard are the clues?
This is a really difficult question! Everyone sees things differently, so there is no easy answer to how hard the clues are. Our thorough testing ensures you will never be faced with impossible puzzles. If you have done an escape room or other outdoor puzzle games, then choose the longer or advanced options. If you are a family group then you should choose the family option. Otherwise, choose the standard option.
Can we do AN ADVENTURE HUNT from home?
You need to actually be at the correct location to be able to solve each clue. We use local permanent features to make our clues, so without physically being at the location of a clue, you can´t solve it.
Is there a scoring system?
Each clue offers a maximum of 20 points, with deductions for each incorrect answer. Using a hint has a small deduction only, so don´t avoid using it to the point where you become frustrated and give up. Above all, have fun and enjoy all of the clues, especially the element of working together as a group.
Can we challenge another group?
Yes, it is one of the fun ways to join in. Live scores are available within the Adventure Hunt App. You will be able to see the scores of everyone doing the same hunt as you on the Clue Completed page. If you have several groups get in touch with us and we will provide logins so that all of your groups can start at the same time, on different puzzles.
When will there be an Adventure Hunt Escape Room Near Me?

How it works
Click the Book Now button to make a booking. You will then receive a confirmation email containing your booking reference, a link to download the Adventure Hunt app, and a link to the start point. You can then open the app using your email address and booking reference—there are no passwords to create or remember.
Once you’re ready, simply head to the start point and begin your Adventure Hunt. The app will guide you from puzzle to puzzle, unlocking each new challenge as you solve the previous one. If you need a little help along the way, hints are available for every puzzle. You’re free to stop whenever you like for refreshments, sightseeing or shopping, then continue your Adventure Hunt whenever you’re ready—even the next day if you wish.
