The Olhao Adventure Hunt starts and ends at the ferry dock. The 2km circular walk guides you around the labyrinthine lanes of the Fishermen’s Quarter, through the pretty pedestrianised shopping area, and along the scenic waterfront. Along the way, you’ll discover hidden squares with sculptures revealing legendary tales of the town, huge murals illustrating Olhao’s fishing heritage, and cafes overlooking the Ria Formosa lagoon.

This hunt is available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French and Dutch.

A Journey Through Culture, History, and Coastal Charm

Starting and ending at the ferry dock, this 2km circular walk guides you around the labyrinthine lanes of the Fishermen’s Quarter, through the pretty pedestrianised shopping area, and along the scenic waterfront. Along the way, you’ll discover hidden squares with sculptures revealing legendary tales of the town, huge murals illustrating Olhao’s fishing heritage, and cafes overlooking the Ria Formosa lagoon.

With 19 stops along the route, the experience takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Free parking is available nearby (a 5-minute walk), and both the bus and train stations are a 15 minute-walk away.
