Everything you need for your Adventure Hunt experience is inside one app. No guide, no printed maps, no complicated setup — just download, activate your code, and start solving puzzles wherever and whenever you are ready.

The Adventure Hunt App is available for free on both platforms:

How the App Works

Using the Adventure Hunt App is straightforward. Here is the step-by-step process from purchase to puzzle-solving:

Step 1 — Book your Adventure Hunt. Choose your location from our full list of destinations and complete your purchase online. You will receive a confirmation email with your unique activation code.

Step 2 — Download the app. Install the Adventure Hunt App from Google Play or the App Store before you arrive at your starting point. It is free to download.

Step 3 — Enter your code. Open the app and enter the activation code from your confirmation email. This unlocks your specific route and all its puzzles.

Step 4 — Go to the starting point. The app tells you exactly where to begin. Once you are there, your Adventure Hunt starts.

Step 5 — Solve puzzles. The app presents each puzzle one by one. Look around you — the answer is always somewhere in your immediate surroundings. It might be on a sign, a building, a statue, a mural, a map, or something you would normally walk right past.

Step 6 — Use hints if you need them. Stuck? Every puzzle has a hint available in the app. Using a hint only costs a small score deduction, so do not avoid them to the point where you become frustrated. The goal is to have fun.

Step 7 — Move to the next puzzle. After solving each puzzle (or after the app reveals the answer), you are guided to the next location. The app does not simply show you a dot to follow on a map — it gives you directions and navigation prompts that keep the experience engaging.

Step 8 — Track your score. Each puzzle is worth a maximum of 20 points, with deductions for incorrect answers and hint usage. Your running total is displayed as you go.

Key Features

Intelligent navigation. Unlike other scavenger hunt apps that just put a pin on a map, Adventure Hunt guides you between puzzles with contextual directions. This means you discover things along the way rather than staring at your phone screen.

Hint system. Every puzzle has a hint. The deduction for using one is intentionally small — we would rather you enjoy the experience than get stuck and frustrated.

Live scoring. Your score updates in real time after each puzzle. If other groups are doing the same route at the same time, you can see their scores too on the Clue Completed page. This makes it perfect for competitions between friends, family groups, or team building events.

No time pressure. There is no countdown timer. You can stop for coffee, take photos, sit on a bench, have lunch, and come back to the next puzzle whenever you are ready. The app waits for you.

Offline-friendly. Once your route is loaded, the app works with minimal connectivity. You do not need a strong mobile data signal throughout.

Multi-language support. The app interface and puzzle content are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, and Dutch — matching the languages supported on the Adventure Hunt website.

What Makes It Different from Other Scavenger Hunt Apps

There are several scavenger hunt and city exploration apps on the market — Explorial, Let’s Roam, World City Trail, and others. Here is what sets Adventure Hunt apart:

Group pricing, not per-person pricing. Most competitors charge per player (€10–€15 each). Adventure Hunt charges per group: €15 to €19.50 for up to 4 people. A family of four pays a fraction of what other apps charge.

Genuinely challenging puzzles. The puzzles in Adventure Hunt are designed to make you think. They are not simple trivia questions about local history that you could Google. They require you to observe your surroundings carefully, notice patterns, and connect clues — similar to what you would find in a quality outdoor escape room.

A free T-shirt with every purchase. Every Adventure Hunt includes a T-shirt that you collect at a point along your route. It is a nice bonus and a good souvenir — especially popular with children’s birthday groups.

Real locations, not virtual landmarks. Every single puzzle in Adventure Hunt uses something that physically exists at that location. You cannot solve it from home. You cannot look up the answers online. You have to be there, looking at the real thing.

Frequently Asked Questions About the App

Does the app cost money to download?
No. The app is free. You pay when you purchase an Adventure Hunt experience on our website, and you receive an activation code.

Can multiple people use the same code?
Yes. One purchase gives you one code, and your whole group (2–4 people recommended) works together on one device. You do not need one phone per person — the idea is that you huddle around one screen and solve puzzles together.

What if my phone battery runs out?
We recommend starting with a fully charged phone. A portable battery pack is a good idea for longer routes. The app is not especially battery-intensive, but you will have it open for 1 to 2 hours.

Can I pause and come back later?
Yes. The app saves your progress. You can close it, take a break, and return to the same puzzle later.

What phones are supported?
The app works on modern Android phones (Android 8.0 and above) and iPhones (iOS 14 and above).
